November 2014 Meeting Notes

Lenox
Billie sent Lenox $180 and a subscription to Upper Room. Lenox emailed that he received the money and will let us know what he purchases with it.

Fair Trade

Several items have been sold. $55.50 received so far. Should use profits to purchase chocolate – one dark and one milk of the Divine Small Bar cases. Use Mission funds to make up the difference. Need to order additional items for minimum order for free shipping.

Grant application has been received and called Billie for more information. Grants will be reviewed first week in December.

Education about Lion Club Christmas packages
Will encourage donations rather than tags on tree. Will put in newsletter and Billie will do “minute for missions” at church service.

Planning Retreat to plan next year’s projects

Projects can be viewed at wisconsinumc.org. Come with ideas for mission projects and prayer emphases. Be sure to invite Pastor Jack.

Sewing Hot Packs

Tuesday mornings 9:00-11:00. Will sell at craft fair.

Interested in setting up mission projects for young people. Youth Mission Trips.

Report on Native American Relationship Building

Billie went to Pine Lake Camp weekend before last to lead a retreat for Native Americans. Nine attended. Went well. Bible study comparing Israelites and Native Americans. Discussed being a bridge between the conference and the Native American populations.
What can we do to be supportive? Want to be supportive but don’t know how. First, need to listen.
